"PELÉ" IS OUT TODAY ON NETFLIX!

PELÉ is out on Netflix today! The doc was edited by echo’s Matteo Bini and directed by
Ben Nicholas and David Tryhorn. The film looks at Pelé’s life in football, the only man to win three World Cup titles, but also the impact a radical yet turbulent era in Brazil’s history had on him and his career.

TIFF 2020 LINEUP ANNOUNCED!

TIFF 2020 lineup has been released! Included in this years announcement is Cathy Brady’s WILDFIRE (pictured), cut but Editor Matteo Bini; Ben Sharrock’s LIMBO, shot by Nick Cooke, designed by PD Andy Drummond, with costumes by Holly Rebecca and Eve Doherty as First Assistant Editor; THE THIRD DAY will also screen at the fest which Editors Simon Smith, Dan Roberts and Luke Dunkley all worked on, alongside DoP David Chizallet, AFC.

This years fest will be a “reimagined physical and digital festival” and will run from 10th - 19th September!

"PISTORIUS" IS SHORTLISTED FOR A GRIERSON AWARD!

Vaughan Sivell’s PISTORIUS has been shortlisted for the Best Documentary Series at the 2019 Grierson Awards! Congratulations to echo’s Matteo Bini who cut the Amazon Prime series which explores the tragedy of Reeva Steenkamp’s death alongside a look at South Africa’s trubulent society.

The nominations will be announced on 19th September!

CANNES CRITICS WEEKS LINEUP 2019!

Cannes Critics Week programme has been announced! Echo is proud to say that included in this years lineup, in Official Competition, is Hlynur Palmason’s A WHITE, WHITE DAY shot but echo’s Maria von Hausswolff; and as a Special Screening the short film NAPTHA Directed by Moin Hussain and cut by echo’s Matteo Bini.

This year’s festival runs from 14th May - 25th May!

EDITOR MATTEO BINI STARTS ON DEBUT CATHY BRADY FEATURE “WILDFIRE”!

After wonderful success with her short films, Cathy Brady’s feature debut WILDFIRE is underway and being edited by regular collaborator, Matteo Bini (pictured). The film is being produced by Cowboy Films, Film 4 and the BFI. Nika Mcguigan and Nora-Jane Noone star and play two sisters in a contemporary Ireland.

"PISTORIUS" IS OUT NOW ON AMAZON PRIME

The four part documentary edited and co-written by Matteo Bini , is available to watch now on Amazon. Originally made as a feature-length documentary, PISTORIUS delves into the story of Paralympic and Olympic athlete, Oscar Pistorius who shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp in the early hours of Valentine's Day 2013.

MATTEO BINI FINISHES "BACK TO THE SOURCE"

Matteo Bini has now finished the latest documentary from Cowboy Films, BACK THE SOURCE. Directed by Kevin MacDonald, the documentary shows the band Mumford & Sons as they journey to the most remote music festival in the world, Blues de Fleuve in Senegal. It follows their journey, the artists they meet and the music they make.

Congratulations to all ECHO clients who have films selected in this year’s London Film Festival!  Screening in the First Feature Competition are: APOSTASY, directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and cut by Napoleon Stratogiannakis; BEAST, directed by Michael Pearce with production design by Laura Ellis Cricks; I AM NOT A WITCH, directed by Rungano Nyoni, with cinematography by David Gallego, ADFC, costume design by Holly Rebecca, and art direction by Malin Lindholm. In the Documentary Competition: Jinx Godfrey for her consulting work on KINGDOM OF US, directed by Lucy Cohen.  Other films screening at the festival include: DARK RIVER, directed by Clio Barnard and co-cut by Luke Dunkley; GOOD TIME, directed by Josh and Benny Safdie and lensed by Sean Price Williams; THE PARTY, directed by Sally Potter with costume design by Jane Petrie; AAMIR, directed by Vika Evdokimenko and edited by Matteo Bini; FAMILY HAPPINESS, directed by Alice Englert with cinematography by Lachlan Milne, ACS; OKSIJAN, directed by Edward Watts and lensed by Michael Paleodimos; ROBOT AND SCARECROW, directed by Kibwe Tavares and designed by Laura Ellis Cricks.  The festival will take place from 4th- 15th October.
