Hlynur Palmason’s A WHITE, WHITE DAY is available on digital platforms in the UK today!! The film was nominated at Cannes last year, and was also beautifully shot by echo’s Director of Photography Maria von Hausswolff.

A WHITE, WHITE DAY is number 8 on our Best Of 2019 list! Nominated for the Critic Week Grand Prize at Cannes this year, Hlynur Palmason’s film also screened at TIFF and was beautifully shot by echo’s Director of Photography Maria von Hausswolff.
ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS: “A WHITE, WHITE DAY”!
TIFF is underway and after it’s World Premiere at Cannes back in May, Hlynur Palmason’s A WHITE, WHITE DAY will screen at the festival today. The film was beautifully shot by echo’s Director of Photography Maria von Hausswolff and is set in the raw and atmospheric Iceland countryside.
MORE FILMS ADDED TO THE 2019 TIFF LINEUP!
Further additions to the 2019 Toronto Film Festival have been announced, including A WHITE WHITE DAY (pictured) directed by Hlynur Pálmason and shot by Maria von Hausswolff; J-P Valkeapää’s DOGS DON’T WEAR PANTS edited by echo’s new client Mervi Junkkonen and Dan Friedkin’s LYREBIRD with Costume Design by Guy Speranza.
The final lineup will be revealed on 20th August before the festival begins on 5th September.

Hlynur Palmason’s A WHITE, WHITE DAY has it’s World Premiere at Cannes today! The feature, which is nominated for the Critics Week Grand Prize, is shot by echo’s Maria von Hausswolff who also collaborated with Palmason on her critically acclaimed film WINTER BROTHERS. We can’t wait to see this one!
CANNES CRITICS WEEKS LINEUP 2019!
Cannes Critics Week programme has been announced! Echo is proud to say that included in this years lineup, in Official Competition, is Hlynur Palmason’s A WHITE, WHITE DAY shot but echo’s Maria von Hausswolff; and as a Special Screening the short film NAPTHA Directed by Moin Hussain and cut by echo’s Matteo Bini.
This year’s festival runs from 14th May - 25th May!
