BAFTA WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
The BAFTA Film awards took place this past weekend and we are really pleased to congratulate Costume Designer Holly Rebecca for her work on Remi Weeke’s HIS HOUSE (pictured) which picked up the award for Outstanding Debut, as well as Editor Richard Ketteridge who was VFX Editor on the film; congratulations also go to Editor Jinx Godfrey, ACE who was Consultant Editor on MY OCTOPUS TEACHER, which won Best Documentary!

The trailer for Ben Sharrock’s LIMBO is out and has us very excited for the films release on July 30th! Shot by echo’s DoP Nick Cooke, with Production Design by Andy Drummond, Costume Design by Holly Rebecca and Eve Doherty as Assistant Editor, the film has received a lot of critical acclaim since it was officially selected for Cannes.
"THE LONG GOODBYE" IS LONDON CRITICS CIRCLE BEST BRITISH SHORT FILM!
Congratulations to Director of Photography Stuart Bentley, BSC and Costume Designer Holly Rebecca for their work on THE LONG GOODBYE which won Best British Short at the London Critics Film Awards yesterday! The short was directed by Aneil Karia, stars and was written by Riz Ahmed and produced by Somesuch.
MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT "WHATEVER IT TAKES"!
The new advert for MACMILLAN “WHATEVER IT TAKES” has been released. The incredibly moving ad highlights the wonderful work and support its staff provide to patients and family in all moments of their treatment. The spot was directed by Jonathan Alric (one half of The Blaze), produced by Iconoclast and features costume design by Holly Rebecca.

LIMBO is the hugely deserved Number 2 on our Best of 2020 list! Ben Sharrock’s wonderful film was selected for Cannes, TIFF and London (amongst many others) and really stood out for us this year! It's unexpected, funny, sensitive and beautifully delivered. Besides all that it also showcases the talents of it’s brilliant cast and crew including DoP Nick Cooke, Production Designer Andy Drummond, Costume Designer Holly Rebecca and Assistant Editor Eve Doherty.
LONDON FILM FESTIVAL 2020: ROUNDUP!
We have just about managed to catch our breath after another great (albeit different) London Film Festival! We are super pleased to see Ben Sharrock’s LIMBO (pictured) being voted as 1 of the Top 3 films at this years festival. "LIMBO" GETS IT'S WORLD PREMIERE AT TIFF THIS WEEKEND!
TIFF 2020 is officially underway and Ben Sharrock’s LIMBO will have it’s World Premiere at the festival tomorrow. The film was shot by echo’s DoP Nick Cooke, Production Designer Andy Drummond, Costume Designer Holly Rebecca and Eve Doherty as Assistant Editor.
We can’t wait to see it when it comes to London Film Fest next month!
TIFF 2020 LINEUP ANNOUNCED!
TIFF 2020 lineup has been released! Included in this years announcement is Cathy Brady’s WILDFIRE (pictured), cut but Editor Matteo Bini; Ben Sharrock’s LIMBO, shot by Nick Cooke, designed by PD Andy Drummond, with costumes by Holly Rebecca and Eve Doherty as First Assistant Editor; THE THIRD DAY will also screen at the fest which Editors Simon Smith, Dan Roberts and Luke Dunkley all worked on, alongside DoP David Chizallet, AFC.
This years fest will be a “reimagined physical and digital festival” and will run from 10th - 19th September!

MUST SEE: RIZ AHMED'S "THE LONG GOODBYE"!
Riz Ahmed has dropped short film THE LONG GOODBYE and it is a must watch!! Directed by Aniel Karia, shot by echo’s Director of Photography Stuart Bentley, BSC and Costumes by Holly Rebecca, the film has been released in conjunction with his solo album of the same name and his a hard hitting, political film about racism in the UK.
BRITISH ARROWS 2020 SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED!
We are very proud to say that echo’s Production Designer, Jon Henson, has received a well deserved British Arrows nomination for his work on the Sainsbury’s Christmas spot NICHOLAS THE SWEEP! The commercial has received 8 nominations in total, including nods in the Best Over 90 Seconds and Retailers categories!
Congratulations also go to our clients who worked on the following shortlisted ads: Costume Designer Holly Rebecca for her work on both KFC CHICKEN TOWN and Cadbury’s FENCE which have both received nominations in the Food + Non-Alcoholic Catergory as well as Best Over 30 Seconds; DoP Rachel Clark for her work on BBC NUMBER 10 which is nominated for Best Over 15 Seconds; DoP Edgar Dubrovskiy for his work on MALARIA NO MORE nominated for Most Innovative Use of Video; Hair + Make-Up Designer Kirstin Chalmers who designed PRIDE JUBILEE which Director Fred Rowson has received a New Director nomination for; and last but not least, Costume Designer, Jo Thompson, who designed Dept for Education TUESDAY which has received 5 nominations including Best Over 30 and Best Over 90 Seconds!
ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS: "HIS HOUSE"!
HIS HOUSE had it’s World Premiere last night at Sundance! Remi Weekes’ debut film, which features costumes design by Holly Rebecca and VFX Editing by Richard Ketteridge, follows a refugee couple from South Sudan and their struggle to adjust to their new life in an English town. We are excited that the film has already been picked up by Netflix!

In case you missed it last week, here is another look at echo’s Costume Designer, Holly Rebecca’s, work on Lancey Foux’s new promo INDIA! The music video was released last week and directed by Ricky Gibb.
SUNDANCE LINEUP 2020!
Sundance 2020 Lineup has been announced and we are very excited to say the following client projects will all be screened at the festival: Sean Durkin’s THE NEST, with Hair + Make-Up Design by Emma Scott, will have it’s World Premiere; TESLA, shot by DoP Sean Price Williams, will screen in the US Drama Competition along with Lee Isaac Chung’s MINARI lensed by DoP Lachlan Milne, ACS; Aneil Karia’s SURGE, shot by Stuart Bentley, BSC and with production design by Alexandra Toomey, will be competing in the World Cinema Drama category; and HIS HOUSE, with costume design by Holly Rebecca, will screen in the Midnight section!
The festival runs from 23rd January - 2nd February 2020 in Salt Lake City.

Georgia Parris’ MARI has released it’s official trailer! The feature debut from Parris, that had it’s premiere at BFI London Film Fest last year, stars acclaimed dancer Bobbi Jene Smith. Echo clients, Production Designer Bobbie Cousins, Costume Designer Holly Rebecca, Editor Napoleon Stratogiannakis and Hair + Make-Up Designer Bean Ellis all worked on the project. The film will be in UK cinemas from 21st June!
