Azazel Jacobs’ FRENCH EXIT is out in the UK today! The brilliant Jane Petrie designed the costumes on this adaptation of Patrick deWitt’s novel. The film stars Oscar nominated Michelle Pfeiffer as a Manhattan socialite who moves to Paris with her son (played by Lucas Hedges) with the small amount of her inheritance she has left.

"FRENCH EXIT" TO CLOSE NEW YORK FILM FESTIVAL!
Azazel Jacobs FRENCH EXIT will close New York Film Festival this year! An adaptation of Patrick deWitt’s novel, the film stars Oscar nominated Michelle Pfeiffer as a Manhattan socialite who moves to Paris with her son (played by Lucas Hedges) with the small amount of her inheritance she has left. The costume design is by echo’s Jane Petrie.
The festival will run from 25th Sept - 11th October and will combine a brand-new virtual presence with carefully designed outdoor screenings.

Costume Designer Jane Petrie is currently working on Azazel Jacobs’ FRENCH EXIT! The film, based on the novel of the same name, stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Lucas Hedges and follows a penniless Manhattan socialite who moves to a small apartment in Paris with her son and cat.
"THE KING": ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS!
David Michôd’s THE KING has it’s World Premiere today at Venice Film Festival ahead of screening at London Film Festival next month! The historical drama stars Timothée Chalamet and Roberts Pattinson and tells the story of Henry the V. The wonderful costumes were designed by echo’s Jane Petrie, who previously collaborated with Michôd on WAR MACHINE.

VENICE FILM FESTIVAL 2019 LINEUP IS OUT!
Venice Film Festival 2019 lineup has been announced! Shannon Murphy’s BABYTEETH, shot by echo’s Andrew Commis, ACS, is in the Official Competition; David Michôd’s THE KING with costume design by echo’s Jane Petrie will also be screened at the fest and ALL THIS VICTORY (pictured), directed by Ahmad Ghossein and edited by echo’s Yannis Chalkiadakis is in the Critics Week lineup. Congratulations!
The festival runs from 28th August - 7th September.

Costume Designer, Jane Petrie, is currently prepping on new HBO series THE NEVERS. The sci-fi series will be written and directed by Joss Whedon and is due to start shooting this summer!

"THE CROWN" SERIES 2 COSTUMES EXHIBITION AT HEALS!
Echo’s Jane Petrie’s costume for series 2 of THE CROWN are being shown at Heals Costume Exhibition at Tottenham Court Road featuring five of the series’ costumes worn by Claire Foy, Vanessa Kirby, Lia Williams, Jodi Balfour and Alex Jennings. Finally, after screening at London and Toronto Film Festivals, David Mackenzie’s OUTLAW KING is available to stream on Netflix. With costume design by Jane Petrie and Hair Design by Kirstin Chalmers , the huge scale epic tells the story of the Scottish king robert The Bruce and stars Chris Pine, Florence Pugh and Aaron Taylor Johnson. That’s your Friday night sorted then!

TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FULL LINE UP ANNOUNCED!
TIFF 2018 has been releasing their line up in stages over the last couple of weeks, with the final program announced last night. We are very pleased to congratulate the following echo clients whose projects are at the festival; Gala Presentations include the world premiere of David McKenzie's OUTLAW KING which will open the festival, with Costume Design by Jane Petrie and Hair + Make-Up Design by Kirstin Chalmers; the world premiere of Nicole Holofcener's THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS with Costume Design by Alex Bovaird and A PRIVATE WAR directed by Matthew Heineman with Production Design by Sophie Becher. Lensed by Sean Price Williams, Alex Ross Perry's HER SMELL will also have it's world premiere at the festival and will be shown in the Platform Presentations Program. In the Special Presentation Category we have more world premieres for TEEN SPIRIT, directed by Max Minghella with Production Design by Kave Quinn; and Jake Scott's AMERICAN WOMAN which again features Costume Design by Alex Bovaird. Costume Designer, Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-up Designer, Emma Scott worked on Peter Strickland's IN FABRIC, which is part of the Midnight Madness program. The Contemporary World Cinema category includes BORDER directed by Ali Abassi and shot by Nadim Carlsen; and BIRDS OF PASSAGE directed by Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerro, lensed by DoP David Gallego, ADFC. SALLY POTTER'S "THE PARTY" OPENS IN THE UK TODAY WITH COSTUME DESIGN BY JANE PETRIE
An academic (Timothy Spall) and a politician (Kristin Scott Thomas) host a gathering in their London home in Sally Porter's dark comedy THE PARTY. The ensemble cast of guests includes Patricia Clarkson, Emily Mortimer, and Cillian Murphy, with costume design by Jane Petrie. Having premiered in competition at the Berlin Film Festival the film, produced by Adventure Pictures, opens in the UK today.
