THE "SOLOS" TRAILER IS HERE!

The trailer for new Amazon Prime series, SOLOS, is here! The show features a stellar cast including Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman, and was cut by both echo Editors Luke Dunkley and Simon Smith. The series drops on Amazon on the 21st of May.

"THE THIRD DAY" IS OUT TODAY IN THE UK!

New series THE THIRD DAY starts tonight at 9pm on Sky Atlantic! The show, which premiered in the US last night, stars Jude Law and Naomi Harris. Episodes 2 + 3 were cut by Editors Simon Smith and Dan Roberts respectively for Director Marc Munden and eps 4, 5 + 6 were shot by David Chizallet, AFC and cut by Luke Dunkley for Director Philippa Lowthorpe.

THE THIRD DAY is set to be released on Sky and HBO in May and if the trailer is anything to go by we’re excited! The series stars Jude Law and Naomi Harris, with episodes 2 + 3 cut by Editors Simon Smith and Dan Roberts respectively for Director Marc Munden and eps 4, 5 + 6 were shot by David Chizallet, AFC and cut by Luke Dunkley for Director Philippa Lowthorpe.

HBO'S "THE THIRD DAY" IS NOW SHOOTING!

The new series, THE THIRD DAY, has now started shooting with Jude Law, Katherine Waterston (pictured) and with multi-award winning Director Marc Munden directing the first 3 episodes! Following on from his work on CHERNOBYL, Emmy nominated Editor, Simon Smith is cutting episode 2 of the show!

Editor Luke Dunkley and DoP David Chizallet, AFC will also soon start on the HBO series and will be working with Director Philippa Lowthorpe on eps 4, 5 + 6.

The Edinburgh TV Awards have announced this year’s nominations and we are please to say that 4 client shows are shortlisted! The winners of the 2019 BAFTA Television Awards were announced last night and we are thrilled that PATRICK MELROSE won Best Mini-Series, congrats to the all echo editing team of Tim Murrell, Luke Dunkley, Dan Roberts and Simon Smith; and SALLY4EVER picked up the award for Best Scripted Comedy which features Costume Design by echo’s Emma Fryer!

"DARK RIVER" IS RELEASED IN UK CINEMAS TODAY!

Directed by Clio Barnard and co-edited by Luke Dunkley, the critically acclaimed film, DARK RIVER is officially out in UK cinemas today.  The film, produced by Moonspun Films, BFI and Film4 stars Ruth Wilson, Mark Stanley and Sean Bean to tell the story of a woman returning to her family farm to claim what she believes to be rightfully hers, despite being followed by her haunting past.

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL STARTS TODAY!

The Sundance Film Festival starts today with a few additional ECHO appearances!  Jonas Åkerlund's LORDS OF CHAOS follows the dark and twisted beginnings of Oslo's Black Metal movement, showing in the "Midnight" programme with costumes designed by Susie Coulthard and hair and make-up designed by Loz Schiavo. Meanwhile Yannis Chalkiadakis, a new client to ECHO edited the feature PITY which is nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.  MR INBETWEEN, directed by Nash Edgerton and lensed by Director of Photography Christopher Miles will also see it's world premiere.   This is in addition to, the BAFTA nominated I AM NOT A WITCH, with art direction from Malin Lindholm, lensed by David Gallego and costumed by Holly Rebecca, along with the US premiere of Michael Pearce's BEAST, with production design by Laura Ellis Cricks OPHELIA, starring Naomi Watts and Tom Felton will have it's world premiere, directed by Claire McCarthy and edited by Luke Dunkley.  Luke also co-edited Bart Layton's AMERICAN ANIMALS, screening in the "US Dramatic Competition".

SEASON 2 OF "THE CROWN" OUT NOW ON NETFLIX

After a highly lauded first season, THE CROWN returns for ten episodes tonight on Netflix with Jane Petrie helming costume design. Claire Foy reprises her role as Queen Elizabeth II as the series continues to explore her increasingly troubled relationship with Prince Philip, played by Matt Smith. Creator Peter Morgan is still on board with Stephen Daldry, Benjamin Caron, Philip Martin and Philippa Lowthorpe directing for Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television.

SUNDANCE ANNOUNCES LINE UP!

Sundance Film Festival has released the line up with several ECHO appearances. Claire McCarthy's twist on Hamlet, OPHELIA, cut by Luke Dunkley and starring Daisy Ridley, Naomi Watts and Clive Owen is in the "Premieres" programme. Luke has also co-edited Bart Layton's art heist story, AMERICAN ANIMALS, which will screen in the "US Dramatic Competition". Rungano Nyoni's acclaimed I AM NOT A WITCH, lensed by David Gallego with art direction by Malin Lindholm and costumes by Holly Rebecca, will screen in the "Spotlight" programme, along with director Michael Pearce's debut feature BEAST about a murder accusation in a small British island community, with production design helmed by Laura Ellis Cricks.

TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES "BEAST" AND "DARK RIVER" AMONGST PLATFORM LINE-UP

Congratulations to Michael Pearce's feature BEAST, designed by ECHO's Laura Ellis Cricks, starring Jessie Buckley and Johnny Flynn, and to Clio Barnard's DARK RIVER, co-edited by ECHO's Luke Dunkley, starring Ruth Wilson.  Both are set to screen in TIFF's Platform series, which opens September 8th.

Congratulations to Editor, Luke Dunkley for THE CROWN and Costume Designer, Susie Coulthard for BLACK MIRROR: SAN JUNIPERO for this year's Emmy Nominations.  THE CROWN is nominated for Best Drama Series, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and BLACK MIRROR: SAN JUNIPERO for Best Television Movie.  The 69th Annual Emmy Awards take place on Sunday 17th September, 2017.

NATIONAL TREASURE AND THE CROWN NOMINATED FOR BAFTA TV AWARD

ECHO congratulates Editor, Luke Dunkley and Costume Designer, Sarah Blenkinsop for NATIONAL TREASURE being nominated for a BAFTA TV Award for Best Mini Series after winning an RTS Award for the same.  THE CROWN, which Luke Dunkley also edited, has also been nominated for Best Drama Series after winning a Golden Globe for Best Television Drama.  The awards will be announced on Sunday 14 May 2017.
