BIFA WINNERS!

The 2020 BIFA winners were announced last night! We are very proud to see the following client projects amongst the winners. THE LONG GOODBYE (pictured), shot by Stuart Bentley, BSC and with Costumes by Holly Rebecca, won Best British Short Film; Sarah Gavron’s ROCKS, with 2nd Unit Photography by Rachel Clark, won Best British Independent Film along with 4 other awards; PERFECT 10 with costumes designed by Susie Coulthard, won the Raindance Discovery Award; HIS HOUSE, with Costume Design by Holly Rebecca and VFX Editing by Richard Ketteridge, won 4 awards including Best Director; MOGUL MOWGLI, with hair + make-up design by Bean Ellis and Additional Photography by Michael Paleodimos also picked up 2 awards; and last but not lease LIMBO also picked up an award for Breakthrough Producer, shot by Nick Cooke, designed by Andy Drummond, costumes by Holly Rebecca and Assistant Editing by Eve Doherty!

BIFA NOMINATIONS 2020!

The 2020 BIFA nominations are out and a massive congratulations to Nick Cooke for his Best Cinematography nod for his brilliant work on LIMBO! (pictured)

Congratulations also go to Emma Scott, Hair + Make Up Designer and Andonis Trattos co-Editor on CALM WITH HORSES which has received 10 nominations including Best British Independent Film; Holly Rebecca, Costume Designer and Richard Ketteridge, VFX Editor on HIS HOUSE which is also nominated for Best British Independent Film along with 12 other nominations; Andrew Commis, ACS, Director of Photography on BABYTEETH which is nominated for Best International Independent Film; DoP Will Pugh who shot RISING PHOENIX which is nominated for Best Documentary; Costume Designer Michelle May who designed LOOTED, which is nominated for the Raindance Discovery award; Susie Coulthard, Costume Designer on PERFECT 10 which is also nominated for The Raindance Discovery Award along with 2 other nominations; and DoP Stuart Bentley, BSC and again Costume Designer Holly Rebecca for their work on THE LONG GOODBYE which has received a nod for Best Short Film.

Other client projects nominated are: LIMBO, which is nominated for 4 awards, shot by Nick Cooke, production design by Andy Drummond, costume design by Holly Rebecca and Assistant Editing Eve Doherty; MOGUL MOWGLI, with hair + make-up design by Bean Ellis and additional photography by Michael Paleodimos, received 5 nominations; ROCKS, 2nd Unit Photography by Rachel Clark, has a whopping 14 nominations; KINDRED, shot by Carlos Catalan, costume design by Natalie Humphries, hair + make-Up design by Bean Ellis also received a nomination.

Including some brilliant client projects; POMMEL, cut by Sarah Brewerton; MOTHER (pictured) shot by DoP Stuart Bentley, BSC and with costume design by Holly Rebecca; BALCONY cut by Matteo Bini; KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES designed by Laura Ellis Cricks; CROCODILE with costume design by Susie Coulthard; SWIMMER with costume design by Sarah Blenkinsop and VOLUME shot by Chloë Thomson, BSC and designed by Laura Ellis Cricks! Huge congratulations go to echo’s Guy Speranza for his Best Costume Design nomination at this year BIFAs for his work on STAN & OLLIE!

Our congrats also go to our clients who worked on the Best Film nominees; Costume Designer Jo Thompson and Production Designer Laura Ellis Cricks for BEAST, Luke Dunkley and Andy Worboys who co-edited AMERICAN ANIMALS and THE FAVOURITE with additional editing by Sam Sneade.

And finally, well done to all clients who worked on nominated films including APOSTASY cut by Napolean Stratogiannakis, THE HAPPY PRINCE cut by Nicolas Gaster, HAPPY NEW YEAR COLIN BURSTEAD with costumes by Emma Fryer and hair + make-up by Emma Scott, DEAD IN A WEEK with costume design by Natalie Humphries, CALIBRE features hair + make-up design by Bean Ellis, UNDER THE WIRE and DISOBEDIENCE both by art directed Bobbie Cousins and short film POMMEL cut by Sarah Brewerton.

BIFA 2017 NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

A huge congratulations to our clients and films with BIFA nominations! I AM NOT A WITCH was nominated for 12 awards, including Best British Independent Film, Best Costume Design for Holly Rebecca, and Best Cinematography for our DoP David Gallego, ADFCJAWBONE, featuring Costume Design by Guy Speranza, received 7 nominations, and GOD'S OWN COUNTRY, featuring Hair and Make Up by Bean Ellis, who will be joining ECHO at the end of this month, received 11 nominations, including Best British Independent Film. Editor Jinx Godfrey cut KINGDOM OF US, which received a Best Documentary nomination. The British Independent Film Awards will be on Sunday December 10th.

BIFA ANNOUNCES LONGLISTS

Congratulations to the films selected on the BIFA longlists today! I AM NOT A WITCH, directed and written by Rungano Nyoni, appeared in three categories including the Douglas Hickox Award for Debut Director, Best Debut Screenwriter, and Breakthrough Producer for the film's producer Emily Morgan. Shot by David Gallego, ADFC, the film features costume design by Holly Rebecca, and art direction by Malin Lindholm. JAWBONE directed by Thomas Napper and written by Johnny Harris featuring costume design by Guy Speranza has also been listed for the Douglas Hickox Award and Best Debut Screenwriter.  Writer and director Francis Lee is listed in both directing and screenwriting categories for GOD'S OWN COUNTRY, as were the film's producers Jack Tarling and Manon Ardisson in the Breakthrough Producer category. The film features hair and make up design by Bean Ellis, whom we are thrilled to announce will join the ECHO family on November 24th. CITY OF TINY LIGHTS, lensed by Director of Photography, Felix Wiedemann, BSC was listed for Most Promising Newcomer for actress Hannah Rae.
