BAFTA TV NOMINATIONS 2021!

We are very excited to congratulate echo Editor John Dwelly for his BAFTA TV nomination for Best Editing on I MAY DESTROY YOU! The show also received multiple other nominations including Best Mini Series and Best Director for Michael Coel.

We are also pleased to congratulate Director of Photography Chloë Thomson, BSC for her work on ADULT MATERIAL, which received 4 nominations including Best Mini-Series; Editors Yan Miles, ACE and Morten Højbjerg who both cut episodes of THE CROWN which is nominated in multiple categories including Best Drama Series and a Best Director nod for Benjamin Caron; and Editor Richard Ketteridge who was Associate Editor on SMALL AXE which is nominated for Best Mini-Series as well as 14 other nominations!

The winners will be announced over two ceremonies, May 24th for the craft categories and June 6th programme awards.

MICHAEL PEARCE’S “BEAST” WINS A BAFTA!

Echo is very proud to say that Michael Pearce’s BEAST won a BAFTA last night for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer! Congratulations to our clients, Production Designer Laura Ellis Cricks and Costume Designer Jo Thompson who both worked on the film!

Congratulations also go to Sam Sneade, Addtional Editor on THE FAVOURITE which took home 7 BAFTAS in total!

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL STARTS TODAY!

The Sundance Film Festival starts today with a few additional ECHO appearances!  Jonas Åkerlund's LORDS OF CHAOS follows the dark and twisted beginnings of Oslo's Black Metal movement, showing in the "Midnight" programme with costumes designed by Susie Coulthard and hair and make-up designed by Loz Schiavo. Meanwhile Yannis Chalkiadakis, a new client to ECHO edited the feature PITY which is nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.  MR INBETWEEN, directed by Nash Edgerton and lensed by Director of Photography Christopher Miles will also see it's world premiere.   This is in addition to, the BAFTA nominated I AM NOT A WITCH, with art direction from Malin Lindholm, lensed by David Gallego and costumed by Holly Rebecca, along with the US premiere of Michael Pearce's BEAST, with production design by Laura Ellis Cricks OPHELIA, starring Naomi Watts and Tom Felton will have it's world premiere, directed by Claire McCarthy and edited by Luke Dunkley.  Luke also co-edited Bart Layton's AMERICAN ANIMALS, screening in the "US Dramatic Competition".

BAFTA NOMINATIONS OUT!

Echo congratulates Costume Designer Holly RebeccaDirector of Photography David Gallego, ADFC and Art Director Malin Lindholm for their work on I AM NOT A WITCH as well as Costume Designer Guy Speranza for JAWBONE and Consulting Editor Jinx Godfrey on KINGDOM OF US, all nominated for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer.  GOD'S OWN COUNTRY has also been nominated for Outstanding British Film, with hair and make-up design by Bean EllisPADDINGTON 2, edited by Mark Everson, has been nominated for both Best Adapted Screenplay and Outstanding British Film and AAMIR, co-edited by Matteo Bini has been nominated for Best British Short Film.  The 2018 BAFTA Ceremony takes place on February 18th.
