"I MAY DESTROY YOU" WINS BEST MINI-SERIES AT THE BAFTA TV AWARDS!

I MAY DESTROY YOU won both Best Mini-Series and Best Leading Actress for Michaela Coel at the BAFTA TV Awards last night! Congratulations to echo Editor John Dwelly who cut eps 6 and 12 of the series, and of course he also picked up a BAFTA for his work a couple of weeks ago.

BAFTA TV NOMINATIONS 2021!

We are very excited to congratulate echo Editor John Dwelly for his BAFTA TV nomination for Best Editing on I MAY DESTROY YOU! The show also received multiple other nominations including Best Mini Series and Best Director for Michael Coel.

We are also pleased to congratulate Director of Photography Chloë Thomson, BSC for her work on ADULT MATERIAL, which received 4 nominations including Best Mini-Series; Editors Yan Miles, ACE and Morten Højbjerg who both cut episodes of THE CROWN which is nominated in multiple categories including Best Drama Series and a Best Director nod for Benjamin Caron; and Editor Richard Ketteridge who was Associate Editor on SMALL AXE which is nominated for Best Mini-Series as well as 14 other nominations!

The winners will be announced over two ceremonies, May 24th for the craft categories and June 6th programme awards.

BAFTA FILM NOMINATIONS 2021!

BAFTA film nominations are out and we are very pleased to congratulate the following clients for their work on the nominated projects:

DoP Nick Cooke, Production Designer Andy Drummond, Costume Designer Holly Rebecca and Assistant Editor Eve Doherty for their work on LIMBO (pictured), which is nominated for both Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Debut; DoP Lachlan Milne, ACS who shot MINARI which is nominated for Best Film not in the English Language as well as receiving 5 other nods; Editor Andonis Trattos and Hair + Make-Up Designer Emma Scott who worked on CALM WITH HORSES which is also nominated for Outstanding British Film along with 3 other awards; Costume Designer Holly Rebecca and Editor Richard Ketteridge who did VFX for HIS HOUSE which is also nominated for Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Debut as well as one other nomination; Hair + Make-Up Designer Bean Ellis and DoP Michael Paleodimos who shot Additional Photography for MOGUL MOWGLI, nominated for Outstanding British Film; Rachel Clark who did Additional Photography for ROCKS which has received 7 nominations including Outstanding British Film; Jinx Godfrey, ACS who was Consultant Editor on MY OCTOPUS TEACHER which is up for Best Documentary; and last but not least DoP Andrew Commis, ACS who shot BABYTEETH which has received a Best Director nod for Shannon Murphy.

The award ceremony will be virtual this year and take place on the 11th April.

BAFTA TELEVISION AWARDS!

The winners of the 2019 BAFTA Television Awards were announced last night and we are thrilled that PATRICK MELROSE won Best Mini-Series, congrats to the all echo editing team of Tim Murrell, Luke Dunkley, Dan Roberts and Simon Smith; and SALLY4EVER picked up the award for Best Scripted Comedy which features Costume Design by echo’s Emma Fryer!
