LUKE DUNKLEY IS NOMINATED FOR A SPIRIT AWARD!

Congratulations to echo’s Luke Dunkley who has been nominated for and Film Independent Spirit Award for Best Editing on AMERICAN ANIMALS. Directed by Bart Layton, Luke co-edited the film with Nick Fenton, Chris Gill and Julian Hart whom he shares the nomination with. Shout out also goes to echo's Andy Worboys who was also part of the editorial team. The award ceremony takes place on 23rd February in Santa Monica.

COSTUME DESIGNER GUY SPERANZA NOMINATED FOR A BIFA!

Huge congratulations go to echo’s Guy Speranza for his Best Costume Design nomination at this year BIFAs for his work on STAN & OLLIE!

Our congrats also go to our clients who worked on the Best Film nominees; Costume Designer Jo Thompson and Production Designer Laura Ellis Cricks for BEAST, Luke Dunkley and Andy Worboys who co-edited AMERICAN ANIMALS and THE FAVOURITE with additional editing by Sam Sneade.

And finally, well done to all clients who worked on nominated films including APOSTASY cut by Napolean Stratogiannakis, THE HAPPY PRINCE cut by Nicolas Gaster, HAPPY NEW YEAR COLIN BURSTEAD with costumes by Emma Fryer and hair + make-up by Emma Scott, DEAD IN A WEEK with costume design by Natalie Humphries, CALIBRE features hair + make-up design by Bean Ellis, UNDER THE WIRE and DISOBEDIENCE both by art directed Bobbie Cousins and short film POMMEL cut by Sarah Brewerton.

The awards take place on 2nd of December in London. Well done team echo!

“AMERICAN ANIMALS” IS OUT TODAY!

Written and directed by Bart Layton, the Sundance nominated AMERICAN ANIMALS, is released in UK cinemas today. Starring Barry Keoghan, this witty yet gripping feature, follows four young men who plan to pull off one of the most audacious heists in US history. Co-edited by our brilliant client Luke Dunkley with additional editing by new echo client Andy Worboys. It is a must see!

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL STARTS TODAY!

The Sundance Film Festival starts today with a few additional ECHO appearances!  Jonas Åkerlund's LORDS OF CHAOS follows the dark and twisted beginnings of Oslo's Black Metal movement, showing in the "Midnight" programme with costumes designed by Susie Coulthard and hair and make-up designed by Loz Schiavo. Meanwhile Yannis Chalkiadakis, a new client to ECHO edited the feature PITY which is nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.  MR INBETWEEN, directed by Nash Edgerton and lensed by Director of Photography Christopher Miles will also see it's world premiere.   This is in addition to, the BAFTA nominated I AM NOT A WITCH, with art direction from Malin Lindholm, lensed by David Gallego and costumed by Holly Rebecca, along with the US premiere of Michael Pearce's BEAST, with production design by Laura Ellis Cricks OPHELIA, starring Naomi Watts and Tom Felton will have it's world premiere, directed by Claire McCarthy and edited by Luke Dunkley.  Luke also co-edited Bart Layton's AMERICAN ANIMALS, screening in the "US Dramatic Competition".

SUNDANCE ANNOUNCES LINE UP!

Sundance Film Festival has released the line up with several ECHO appearances. Claire McCarthy's twist on Hamlet, OPHELIA, cut by Luke Dunkley and starring Daisy Ridley, Naomi Watts and Clive Owen is in the "Premieres" programme. Luke has also co-edited Bart Layton's art heist story, AMERICAN ANIMALS, which will screen in the "US Dramatic Competition". Rungano Nyoni's acclaimed I AM NOT A WITCH, lensed by David Gallego with art direction by Malin Lindholm and costumes by Holly Rebecca, will screen in the "Spotlight" programme, along with director Michael Pearce's debut feature BEAST about a murder accusation in a small British island community, with production design helmed by Laura Ellis Cricks.
