"I MAY DESTROY YOU" WINS BEST MINI-SERIES AT THE BAFTA TV AWARDS!
I MAY DESTROY YOU won both Best Mini-Series and Best Leading Actress for Michaela Coel at the BAFTA TV Awards last night! Congratulations to echo Editor John Dwelly who cut eps 6 and 12 of the series, and of course he also picked up a BAFTA for his work a couple of weeks ago.
BAFTA TV NOMINATIONS 2021!
We are very excited to congratulate echo Editor John Dwelly for his BAFTA TV nomination for Best Editing on I MAY DESTROY YOU! The show also received multiple other nominations including Best Mini Series and Best Director for Michael Coel.
We are also pleased to congratulate Director of Photography Chloë Thomson, BSC for her work on ADULT MATERIAL, which received 4 nominations including Best Mini-Series; Editors Yan Miles, ACE and Morten Højbjerg who both cut episodes of THE CROWN which is nominated in multiple categories including Best Drama Series and a Best Director nod for Benjamin Caron; and Editor Richard Ketteridge who was Associate Editor on SMALL AXE which is nominated for Best Mini-Series as well as 14 other nominations!
The winners will be announced over two ceremonies, May 24th for the craft categories and June 6th programme awards.
BAFTA WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
The BAFTA Film awards took place this past weekend and we are really pleased to congratulate Costume Designer Holly Rebecca for her work on Remi Weeke’s HIS HOUSE (pictured) which picked up the award for Outstanding Debut, as well as Editor Richard Ketteridge who was VFX Editor on the film; congratulations also go to Editor Jinx Godfrey, ACE who was Consultant Editor on MY OCTOPUS TEACHER, which won Best Documentary!

The award ceremony will be virtual this year and take place on the 11th April.
BAFTA CRAFT WINNERS!!
We are still over the moon from Fridays BAFTAs! Congratulations to echo clients Loz Schiavo, Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith who all picked up awards!
Loz won Best Hair + Make-Up Design for her incredible work on PEAKY BLINDERS (which she has designed since the first series of the show); and Jinx and Simon were awarded for Best Editing on CHERNOBYL.

SCOTTISH BAFTA NOMINATIONS 2019!
The nominations for this year’s Scottish BAFTAs are out! Congratulations to Production Designer Andy Drummond who designed Harry Wootliff’s ONLY YOU, which is nominated for Best Feature Film; and to Editor Alastair Reid for his work on THE CRY which is nominated for Best Scripted Television award.
The ceremony will take place in Glasgow on Sunday 3rd of November!
MICHAEL PEARCE’S “BEAST” WINS A BAFTA!
Echo is very proud to say that Michael Pearce’s BEAST won a BAFTA last night for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer! Congratulations to our clients, Production Designer Laura Ellis Cricks and Costume Designer Jo Thompson who both worked on the film!
Congratulations also go to Sam Sneade, Addtional Editor on THE FAVOURITE which took home 7 BAFTAS in total!

Baird’s STAN & OLLIE which is also nominated for Outstanding British Film; Editor Napoleon Stratogiannakis for his work of APOSTASY which has a nod for Outstanding Debut for Director Dan Kokotajlo; and last but not least Sam Sneade who was Additional Editor on THE FAVOURITE which is nominated for Best Film along with 10 other awards. Congratulations!! The award ceremony will take place in London on the 10th of February.

The BIFA winning film THE SURVIVALIST is in on Film4 tonight at 11.15pm. Directed by Stephen Fingleton and with production design by echo’s Dick Lunn, the BAFTA nominated movie is a sci-fi thriller not to be missed!
OSCAR WINNER "PHANTOM THREAD" RELEASED ON SKY CINEMA!
The BAFTA and Academy Award winning film, PHANTOM THREAD with Hair Design by echo’s Jon Henry Gordon, will show on Sky Cinema tonight at 8pm. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Daniel Day Lewis and Vicky Krieps it’s perfect for a little bit of much needed Sunday evening sofa time!
