"THEORY OF EVERYTHING" NOW ON NETFLIX!

James Marsh’s, THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, is now available on Netflix. The film, starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, received countless wins and nominations including a BAFTA nomination for echo’s editor, Jinx Godfrey who cut the film with Mark Keady as Associate Editor.

"CHERNOBYL" FIRST EPISODE ON SKY ATLANTIC TONIGHT!

Johan Renck's historical drama, CHERNOBYL, will air on Sky Atlantic tonight at 9pm! The series, based on the real, harrowing events in Chernobyl nuclear power plant 30 years ago, has already received rave reviews after it's premiere at Tribeca. The series is cut by an all echo’s team of Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith!

The highly anticipated series, CHERNOBYL, will have it’s World Premiere at Tribeca tonight! The series, directed by Johan Renck, is based on the horrific 1986 explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Edited by echo’s Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith - we can’t wait for it to be on our televisions next month!

WORK BEGINS ON HBO'S "CHERNOBYL"

The new 5 part miniseries, starring Stellan Skarsgârd, Jared Harris and Emily Watson has now begun shooting. Written by Craig Mazin and produced by Sister Pictures and Mighty Mint for HBO and Sky Atlantic, CHERNOBYL is a dramatisation of the true story of the Chernobyl nuclear explosion, one of the worst human made disasters in history. The series will be directed by Johan Renck and cut by Editors Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith

WATCH "THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING" TONIGHT ON ITV 3

You can catch the multi-award winning movie, THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING on ITV 3 tonight at 10pm edited by long time collaborator Jinx Godfrey, along with echo's new editor client, Mark Keady who was Associate Editor on the film. The story takes a look at the relationship between the famous physicist, the late Stephen Hawking (played by Eddie Redmayne) and his wife (Felicity Jones).  Produced by Working Title and directed by James Marsh, the film won three BAFTAS as well as being nominated for many more including Best Editing alongside an Academy Award for Eddie Redmayne's performance as well as many other Academy Award nominations.

"THE MERCY" IS OFFICIALLY RELEASED IN THE UK TODAY!

Directed by Academy Award winning James Marsh and produced by Blueprint Pictures and Studio Canal, THE MERCY follows the true story of yachtsman Donald Crowhurst's disastrous attempt to win the 1968 Golden Globe Race. The film stars Colin Firth, Rachel Weisz and David Thewlis and was designed by Production Designer Jon Henson and edited by Jinx Godfrey

BAFTA NOMINATIONS OUT!

Echo congratulates Costume Designer Holly RebeccaDirector of Photography David Gallego, ADFC and Art Director Malin Lindholm for their work on I AM NOT A WITCH as well as Costume Designer Guy Speranza for JAWBONE and Consulting Editor Jinx Godfrey on KINGDOM OF US, all nominated for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer.  GOD'S OWN COUNTRY has also been nominated for Outstanding British Film, with hair and make-up design by Bean EllisPADDINGTON 2, edited by Mark Everson, has been nominated for both Best Adapted Screenplay and Outstanding British Film and AAMIR, co-edited by Matteo Bini has been nominated for Best British Short Film.  The 2018 BAFTA Ceremony takes place on February 18th.

Charlie Booker's sci-fi anthology series returns for a dystopian fourth season on Netflix. The new season includes six new distinct episodes, each addressing our anxieties about living in an increasingly technical world. John Hillcoat directs CROCODILE with production design from new client Morgan Kennedy; Jodie Foster has directed ARKANGEL, cut by Jinx Godfrey with costume design by Guy Speranza; METALHEAD, directed by David Slade, shot in black and white, features work by Costume Designer Susie Coulthard who was nominated for a BAFTA Craft award for her work on SAN JUNIPERO. The season will conclude with the 90-minute BLACK MUSEUM directed by Colm McCarthy, with hair and make-up by Emma Scott

"KINGDOM OF US" RELEASED ON NETFLIX TODAY

Jinx Godfrey serves as consultant editor on Pulse Films and Netflix's new intimate documentary directed by Lucy Cohen about Paul Shank's family after his suicide in 2007. The film which won the The Grierson Award at the London Film Festival for best documentary paints a portrait of the isolated existence of his wife Vikie and seven children in the years following this family tragedy.

Directed by Academy Award winning James Marsh, written by Joe Penhall and produced by Working Title Films and Studio Canal, the film is based on a Vanity Fair article about the largest burglary in British history at Hatton Gardens.  The true story of the unlikely group of elderly robbers stars Michael Caine, Jim Broadbent, Michael Gambon and Ray Winstone.

Congratulations to all ECHO clients who have films selected in this year’s London Film Festival!  Screening in the First Feature Competition are: APOSTASY, directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and cut by Napoleon Stratogiannakis; BEAST, directed by Michael Pearce with production design by Laura Ellis Cricks; I AM NOT A WITCH, directed by Rungano Nyoni, with cinematography by David Gallego, ADFC, costume design by Holly Rebecca, and art direction by Malin Lindholm. In the Documentary Competition: Jinx Godfrey for her consulting work on KINGDOM OF US, directed by Lucy Cohen.  Other films screening at the festival include: DARK RIVER, directed by Clio Barnard and co-cut by Luke Dunkley; GOOD TIME, directed by Josh and Benny Safdie and lensed by Sean Price Williams; THE PARTY, directed by Sally Potter with costume design by Jane Petrie; AAMIR, directed by Vika Evdokimenko and edited by Matteo Bini; FAMILY HAPPINESS, directed by Alice Englert with cinematography by Lachlan Milne, ACS; OKSIJAN, directed by Edward Watts and lensed by Michael Paleodimos; ROBOT AND SCARECROW, directed by Kibwe Tavares and designed by Laura Ellis Cricks.  The festival will take place from 4th- 15th October.
