LUKE DUNKLEY IS NOMINATED FOR A SPIRIT AWARD!
Congratulations to echo’s Luke Dunkley who has been nominated for and Film Independent Spirit Award for Best Editing on AMERICAN ANIMALS. Directed by Bart Layton, Luke co-edited the film with Nick Fenton, Chris Gill and Julian Hart whom he shares the nomination with. Shout out also goes to echo's Andy Worboys who was also part of the editorial team. The award ceremony takes place on 23rd February in Santa Monica.

Written and directed by Bart Layton, the Sundance nominated AMERICAN ANIMALS, is released in UK cinemas today. Starring Barry Keoghan, this witty yet gripping feature, follows four young men who plan to pull off one of the most audacious heists in US history. After receiving rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival earlier in the year, AMERICAN ANIMALS, co-edited by Luke Dunkley, is released today in the US. Directed by Bart Layton following on from his BAFTA and BIFA winning THE IMPOSTER, the compelling and brilliant new narrative feature debut blurs the lines between fact and fiction in it's tale of heist that took place in the Special Collections area of Kentucky’s Transylvania University's library. Starring Barry Keoghan as Spencer Rheinhard, the film was produced by Katherine Butler, Derrin Schlesinger, Dimitri Dogani, Poppy Dixon and Mary Jane Skalski and will see a UK release later in the year.
