TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FULL LINE UP ANNOUNCED!

TIFF 2018 has been releasing their line up in stages over the last couple of weeks, with the final program announced last night. We are very pleased to congratulate the following echo clients whose projects are at the festival; Gala Presentations include the world premiere of David McKenzie's OUTLAW KING which will open the festival, with Costume Design by Jane Petrie and Hair + Make-Up Design by Kirstin Chalmers; the world premiere of Nicole Holofcener's THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS with Costume Design by Alex Bovaird and A PRIVATE WAR directed by Matthew Heineman with Production Design by Sophie Becher. Lensed by Sean Price WilliamsAlex Ross Perry's HER SMELL will also have it's world premiere at the festival and will be shown in the Platform Presentations Program. In the Special Presentation Category we have more world premieres for TEEN SPIRIT, directed by Max Minghella with Production Design by Kave Quinnand Jake Scott's AMERICAN WOMAN which again features Costume Design by Alex Bovaird. Costume Designer, Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-up Designer, Emma Scott worked on Peter Strickland's IN FABRIC, which is part of the Midnight Madness program. The Contemporary World Cinema category includes BORDER directed by Ali Abassi and shot by Nadim Carlsen; and BIRDS OF PASSAGE directed by Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerro, lensed by DoP David Gallego, ADFC. Last but not least, GWEN directed by William McGregor and with Production Design by Laura Ellis Cricks will appear in the Discovery section. Congratulations to you all! TlFF takes place between 6th - 16th September.

"7 DAYS IN ENTEBBE" IS RELEASED IN UK CINEMAS TOMORROW!

7 DAYS IN ENTEBBE, directed by José Padihla, is out in the UK today. It is Produced by Participant Media and Working Title Films and was in competition at Berlin Film Festival this year. Featuring production design by Kave Quinn and a cast that includes Rosamund Pike and Daniel Brühl, the film is inspired by the true events of the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to Paris.

COSTUME DESIGNER REBECCA HALE IS NOMINATED FOR BRITISH ARROW AWARD!

A huge congratulations to Rebecca Hale who has been nominated for a British Arrow Award for Best Costume Design for her work on VOLKSWAGEN, THE BUTTON directed by Gary Freedman.

Congratulations also go to our echo clients who worked on the following commercials nominated in other categories; Pulse's YOUTUBE "VIEWERS", shot by DOP Edgar Dubrovskiy and NEW YORK BAKERY CO "THE WOMAN WHO RUNS NEW YORK", with costume design by Susie Coulthard; Knucklehead's KFC "THE WHOLE CHICKEN" with production design by Kave Quinn; Independent's BULLDOG "BANK ROBBERY" with costume design by Sarah Blenkinsop; Academy's JUST EAT "THE MAGICAL WORLD OF JUST EAT" shot by DOP Niels Thastum and costume designed by Holly Rebecca along with LLOYDS BANK "NEW DAWN" also with costumes designed by Holly Rebecca; Biscuit's BULK POWDER "DOMINATE LIFE" production designed by Morgan Kennedy and Gorgeous's IKEA "HOORAY TO THE WONDERFUL EVERYDAY" costume designed by Michelle May.

The Awards take place on the 16th of May.

SHOOTING STARTS ON "JUDY"

Shooting has started on two-time Olivier winner Rupert Goold's new drama JUDY with production design by Kave Quinn.  Produced by Pathé and David Livingstone at Calamity Films, the film follows legendary performer Judy Garland when she arrives in London in 1968 to perform a series of sold-out concerts.   The star studded cast includes Renée Zellweger as Judy and here is a first look!

José Padilha's 7 DAYS IN ENTEBBE will be released in the USA today, with Production Design by Kave Quinn. Produced by Participant Media and Working Title Films, the film is inspired by the true events of the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to Paris. The cast includes Rosamund Pike and Daniel Brühl and was in competition at Berlin Film Festival this year.  The film is released in the UK on May 11th.

BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL STARTS TODAY!

Showing in the Special Gala, Rupert Everett's THE HAPPY PRINCE, cut by Nicolas Gaster, tells the tale of Oscar Wilde (played by Everett) in the last years of, the once celebrated and later disgraced, writer's life. Also in competition at the festival is 7 DAYS IN ENTEBBE, directed by José Padilha and with Production Design by Kave Quinn. The film, produced by Working Title, stars Rosamund Pike and Daniel Brühl and is inspired by the true events of the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to Paris.

KAVE QUINN DESIGNS "TEEN SPIRIT"

The shoot has now begun on Max Minghella’s directorial debut, TEEN SPIRIT. Produced by LA LA LAND’s Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, written by Minghella and developed by Jamie Bell, the story follows Violet (Elle Fanning) as a shy teen dreaming of pop stardom as an escape from her dismal surroundings and shattered family life.

KAVE QUINN NOMINATED FOR BRITISH ARROW AWARD

Congratulations to ECHO's production designer, Kave Quinn, for her craft nomination for Finish Dishwasher Cleaner "Combinations" at The British Arrows 2017.  The commercial, directed by The Sacred Egg and produced by Riff Raff Films for Wieden+Kennedy, is not the first Finish advert for which Kave has received a British Arrow nomination; the previous commercial directed by MEGAFORCE secured her the Gold Arrow in 2015.  This year's awards ceremony, held on 24 May 2017, combines both craft and campaign nominations together for the first time.
