NIELS THASTUM SHOOTS “SUICIDE TOURIST”
DoP, Niels Thastum, DFF has begun the shoot on new feature, SUICIDE TOURIST with regular collaborator, Director Jonas Alexander Arnby. Niels has worked with Jonas in both commercials and film including WHEN ANIMALS DREAM which had it’s world premiere at Cannes Critics Week in 2014.
SUICIDE TOURIST, written by regular collaborator, Rasmus Birch and produced by Eva Jakobsen, Mikkel Jersin and Katrin Pors at Snowglobe Films, tells the story of insurance broker Max, suffering with a brain tumour who tries to take his own life. On realisation that his wife plans to leave him, he checks into a suicide hotel and goes on a journey of polar bears and weird suicides.
"BORG VS MCENROE" OUT IN THE US TODAY!
Directed by Janus Metz and shot by Niels Thastum DFF, BORG VS MCENROE is the story of the legendary Wimbledon match between Björn Borg and John McEnroe in 1980. Starring Shia LaBeouf, who plays McEnroe and Sverrir Gudnason portraying Borg, the film is produced by SF Studios and The Danish Film Institute.

"THE MAGICAL WORLD OF JUST EAT" AD RELEASED
Directed by Academy’s Si&Ad, THE MAGICAL WORLD OF JUST EAT features a cavalry of local chefs, anthropomorphic chop sticks, flying mopeds and an all singing and all dancing cast, choreographed by Litza Bixler. This Broadway style spectacular was lensed by Niels Thastum with costume design by Holly Rebecca.
CAMERIMAGE ANNOUNCES 2017 LINEUP
Congratulations to all ECHO clients who have films in this year's Camerimage International Film Festival! Screening in the Director's Debuts Competition is BORG/MCENROE directed by Janus Metz, and lensed by Niels Thastum, who has been nominated in the Music Videos Competition with Alt-J's IN COLD BLOOD, directed by Casper Balslev. Screening in the European Panorama section is Rungano Nyoni's I AM NOT A WITCH, with cinematography by David Gallego, ADFC (a film which features an ECHO collaboration with Holly Rebecca helming costume direction, and Malin Lindholm on art direction).

Lensed by Niels Thastum and directed by Janus Metz Pedersen, this biographical sports drama stars Shia LaBeouf as the temperamental John McEnroe and Sverrir Gudnason as the stoic Björn Borg in a depiction of the famous '80s tennis rivalry.
