ECHO BEST OF 2020: "SMALL AXE"!
It wouldn’t be a Best of 2020 list without Steve McQueen’s SMALL AXE! The series is number 6 on our countdown. Each film in the series was so wonderfully crafted and delivered. Richard Ketteridge was Associate Editor on both RED, WHITE AND BLUE and ALEX WHEATLE.

Number 7 on our Countdown is
Malgorzata Szumowska’s NEVER GONNA SNOW AGAIN. The film won best film at Venice this year and also screened at Camerimage and was a firm echo favourite from LFF.
ECHO BEST OF 2020: "UNDINE"!
UNDINE is Number 8 on our Best of 2020 list! Christian Petzold’s film was one of our favourites from this year’s London Film Festival and it also won Best Film at Berlin back in February. Beautifully done, the film was a must for this year’s countdown.

Coming in at Number 9 of our Top 10 TV and Films of 2020 is LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE! The 8 parter, based on the bestselling book, was so binge worthy and not to mention Kerry Washington’s incredible performance!

What a year 2020 has been! A year where we’ve arguably watched more Film and TV than ever and entertainment helped us escape from reality when we’ve needed to the most! As usual we counting down our Top 10 TV and Films of the year…
So without further ado, at Number 10 is THE THIRD DAY! The mini-series hit our screens back in September and kept us on the edge of our seats. A brilliant cast and crew which included echo Editors Simon Smith, Luke Dunkley and Dan Roberts and Director of Photography David Chizallet, AFC.
SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL 2021 LINEUP!
Sundance have announced their 2021 programme and we are super pleased to see the follow client projects in the lineup: Ben Wheatley’s IN THE EARTH (pictured) with costume design by Emma Fryer and hair + make-up design by Emma Scott will have it’s World Premiere at the festival; Sam Hobkinson’s MISHA AND THE WOLVES, shot by DoP Will Pugh is in the World Cinema Documentary Competition; and Pascual Sisto’s JOHN AND THE HOLE, with costume design by Alex Bovaird is in the US Dramatic Competition. Congratulations!
Sundance will run from 28th January - 3rd February, 2021 with both virtual and in person screenings.

Takeshi Fukunaga’s film was shot by echo DoP Sean Price Williams and won the Best Narrative Feature - Jury mention at Tribeca Film Festival this year. The story is set in Japan where 14-year-old indigenous Ainu teen Kanto searches for a spiritual connection with his recently deceased father.
